So Much Has Changed
.
Currently we are working on a new venue for selling and creating at the Bridgeport Innovation Center Building 1 third Floor Sute 1305 B , possibly calling this venue The Bridgeport Artisan Center.
Made In Bridgeport is no longer my business entity. It has now been taken over by another person.
I am however keeping my website domain until it expires. So I will be posting my workshops and events on this website.
So What is currently happening? During the summer we met with Evan Murphy, Property Manager for Blue Stone real estate. We discussed doing the Bridgeport Art Trail that takes place in November. This year it was from the 7th to the 10th. We were granted the opportunity to use the empty spaces which were amazingly large to exhibit in and bring the Bpt Art Trail to the Bridgeport Innovation Center Location The maintenance people worked endlessly to upgrade the spaces and get them ready for the artists and the visiting arts community. We located 58 artists, including the artists already leasing space in the complex. We also located organizations, such as Harding High School ceramics Students, Neighborhood Studios Music program, and the Stratford Performing Arts Academy. With more than 75 artists we filled up the weekend schedule with all types of art and artists as well as performances geared towards Music, Dance and the healing powers of movement. We had about 900 visitors who came through on the weekend, much art was seen and purchased. The artists were pleased with the publics interest in their work and practice. Having done this event that truly made me feel so alive, we were given the opportunity to work in a space to create an arts/ artisan center. We are currently working on fundraising and programming. We would appreciate any information or feedback you may have or an idea to do workshops that would serve our artistic and East End communities.
I will share more as we proceed with our planning
